Ori is a pair of sculptural ceramic objects that challenge the notion of balance and form. Inspired by the Japanese word for folding, each sculpture appears as clay caught in the middle of a movement, where surfaces twist and fold in unexpected directions. The expression changes depending on the angle of view, and light and shadow highlight the depth and dynamism of the form. Together or separately, Ori functions as striking art objects with a strong, sensual presence.
