Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Foscarini , the Buds collection is a beautiful series of table lamps created in bright, colored and mouth-blown glass. Dordoni developed a series of lamps inspired by the shapes of nature in the 1990s, and Buds is named after elements such as fruits, flowers and buds. The collection has since been redesigned and today appears with a more sophisticated expression that suits modern interiors, while the quality of the materials remains in focus.
The glass is made through a five-step handmade process and is available in new, elegant colors. The Buds lamp has a special dual effect, where the light creates a warm and inviting expression, while the lamp takes on a cooler tone when turned off. The inner layer of glass provides a diffused and pleasant light, and the pale yellow shade in the construction makes the light warmer and the color more intense. The warm white variant shines in an ivory color and remains white when the lamp is turned off.
The base is made as a clear glass cylinder with a hand-painted, glossy finish, which adds an elegant and light expression. Buds 1 is available in the colors cool brown and warm white. Buds 2 in cool gray and warm white. Buds 3 in green and warm white.
