How to Clean Your Finishes

Your STOFF Nagel products are crafted from high-quality materials and require simple care to keep them looking their best.

General Tips for All Finishes:
Remove wax residue by soaking in warm water until wax softens.
Wipe with a dry, soft cloth to finish.
Ensure all holes are completely dry before stacking to protect the material.

Note: Made from solid brass and will naturally patina over time. New products may show slight patina.

For patina removal or extra shine, use a solution of warm water, 1 tbsp citric acid per ½ liter of water, and a drop of dish soap. Let sit for 10 minutes, then wipe dry. If patina remains, use a brass polish and finish with a dry, soft cloth.

Bronzed Brass:
Each piece has a unique oxidized surface; therefore, do not use polish or acids, as this will damage the finish. Repeated stacking may leave marks on the legs, revealing the clean brass underneath.

Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Black Chrome, Black & Rose Gold:
Minimal maintenance required. Do not use polish or acids to avoid damaging the protective layer.

Which candles work best with my STOFF Nagel candle holders?

STOFF Nagel has created their own candles, designed to fit perfectly with their candleholders and enhance the beauty of your home. These candles are made from paraffin wax, a pure mineral product, cleaned of impurities. Paraffin wax also has a low CO₂ footprint, making the candles more environmentally friendly. The candles are fully colored for an exclusive, rustic appearance, and the 100% cotton wicks release fewer particles, having less impact on indoor air quality than traditional wicks.


The candles come in a traditional form as well as a taper style, which has a long, tapered shape with a conical base, making it a perfect fit for STOFF Nagel candleholders. They are drip-free, self-extinguishing, and burn slowly and elegantly, leaving no residue in your holders. The taper candles are also available in a larger size, with a diameter of 2.25 cm compared to the standard 1.3 cm candles, which fits perfectly into STOFF Nagel Reflect holders.


STOFF Nagel LED candles feature an electronic flickering flame that creates a soft, inviting light. The candles are coated in paraffin wax for an authentic look in your candle holders. They are battery-operated (2 Alkaline AAAA batteries per candle, not included) and controlled by a built-in 6-hour timer. An optional remote (sold separately) allows you to control all your LED candles at once, set the timer, and adjust the brightness. Using the OFF button puts the candle in standby mode; to fully turn it off and save battery, remove the batteries from the base.


Tips for Use:
Avoid drafts from doors or windows to prevent dripping.

Do not place candles in direct sunlight.
Keep a minimum distance of 7 cm between candles to prevent overheating.
