Design: Globen Lighting

Concept: The Umfors series is designed by Swedish designer Malin Lundmark. Umfors is a tribute to her hometown in the mountains of Swedish Lapland. The oval lampshade symbolizes the thick ice that forms on the Umeå River in winter, and the solid sandstone lamp base symbolizes the mountains. The lamp has an IP44 rating, which means it can withstand splashes of water and larger particles such as grains of sand. The oval lampshade helps to diffuse the light in a pleasant way and helps to create a good atmosphere, no matter whether it is indoors or outdoors.
