Design: Globen Lighting
Concept: The Umfors series was designed by the Swedish designer Malin Lundmark. Umfors is a tribute to her hometown in the mountains of Swedish Lapland. The oval lampshade sybolises the thick ice that comes in winter on the Umeå river, and where the solid lamp base in sandstone, sybolises the mountains. The lamp has an IP44 rating, which means it can withstand water splashes and larger particles such as grains of sand. The oval lampshade helps to spread the light in a pleasant way and helps to create a good atmosphere, no matter if it is indoors or outdoors.
