Born in Connecticut, USA, George Nelson was one of the most influential figures in an incredibly young era in modern design. Student at Yale as an architect, he believed that it was the designer's job to make the world a better place, using perfection in nature's creations. He is one of the people behind the changes and course of world history. In another time outside of his own, his designs are still being built and produced and the Nelson Bubble series is the latest response from HAY. With several of his designs at stake, the lamp series has already fallen into good soil at HAY.
