Design: Bernard-Albin Gras for Lampe Gras
Concept: Bernard - Albin Gras is known as one of the most innovative designers of the 20th century. In 1921, he designed a whole series of beautiful industrial office lamps for use in professional environments. The design was original and at the same time ahead of its time. The lamps had some extremely exciting and aesthetically beautiful design details, including the lamp's functional and specially designed arms and legs. The Gras - lamp had in its basic form neither screws nor any welded joints. With its robust, simple and still very ergonomic design, Gras became an icon of its time, and the lamp has also always appealed to designers, architects and artists.
The Ravel company was seduced by La Lampe Gras' modern design and ease of use, and The Ravel bought the patent and at the same time also took over the production of all Gras lamps in 1927.
The La Lampe Gras N302 Double the ceiling light is the successor to the very popular N302 Ceiling light . Lampe Gras has now designed a double version of the N302 , i.e. the same lamp, but with two shades and arms. The demand for the new double model has been large, as Lampe Gras' lamps work best when you have two hanging next to each other. The lamp can be adjusted in length, and it is extremely flexible, which is why the lamp fits perfectly over the dining table or kitchen table. In addition, it is also a very robust lamp that can withstand daily use and handling. Lampe Gras gives you the opportunity to choose between several different color shades. The N302 model is available in the colors matt black, matt black/ copper, mat blue, mat raw copper, white opal, mat red and mat yellow. This thus provides countless opportunities to create a unique expression in the home and the individual room the lamp is to be used in. Gras is even available as an outdoor lamp.
Please note that the lamp is delivered in raw/clear copper, which will develop a unique patina over time.
