Design: Bernard-Albin Gras for Lampe Gras
Concept: With the La Lampe Gras N304 Matt Black & Raw Copper M. On/Off the wall light you secure a classic for your home. The lamp, designed in 1921 by Bernard-Albin Gras, is still as beautiful today as when it was created.
Back in 1921, engineer Bernard-Albin Gras drew and designed the La Lampe Gras lamp series. The innovative thinking led the world of lamps into a new era, as he was ahead of his time in every sense with this timeless design. Originally, neither screws nor welds were used for the lamp and with La Lampe Gras a new trend in lamp production began. Since then and over time, several designers have found inspiration in this particular collection. The ideas behind the design were to create a collection that would be used for office and industrial environments, and it was when he met the architect Le Corbusier that the lamps really broke through. He used a long series of lamps for several ongoing interior design projects. The original lamps from, among others, 1921 have today become collector's items. Primarily in France, but also in the USA and Japan, people are particularly interested in the original lamps.
Even though they are one of today's most popular lamp brands, they still manage to evolve. They have a wide selection of lamps, but are also really good at developing their current lamps and renewing them so that they still remain as classic as possible. They are constantly renewing the range with new colors and exciting materials.
The newest member of the La Lampe Gras series are the new pendants Lampe Gras N322 and Lampe Gras N323. The most popular lamps from La Lampe Gras are the Lampe Gras the table lamp N205, the Lampe Gras N207 the table lamp , the Lampe Lampe Gras the wall light lamp N304 and the Lampe gras N302 the ceiling light.
Please note that this model comes without a cord. The lamp must therefore be mounted directly on a power outlet. There is an on & off button on the lamp's wall bracket itself.
Please note that the lamp is delivered in raw/clear copper, which will develop a unique patina over time.
