Design: Tani Toshiyuki for Motarasu
Concept: The late the table lamp from Motarasu, is in the same style as their impressive Hokore lamp, a pure work of art that uses the traditional Japanese art takesensuji. A technique that was historically used to make insect cages and lanterns. In the production process behind the Sen the table lamp, Tani Toshiyuki makes use of up to 600 individual bamboo strips to be handmade and applied, which also testifies to how impressive this lamp is. Even though an ancient technique has been used to make this lamp, it still manages to achieve an elegant and modern feeling, and this beautiful table lamp will without a doubt be an eye-catching element in the home. Due to the many small bamboo sticks, the light that falls from the lamp is extremely playful in the room, but definitely also on the table.
