While the design language of design studio GRiNT usually has a graphic and playful approach, they have chosen a more minimalistic and streamlined style for their Cover Up mirrors. The object is blindly fixed to the wall using a metal frame, where the mirror slides in the frame on guides and thus covers the fastening system. By making the frame behind the mirror invisible, this everyday object has been elevated to almost a sculptural work of art. The reflective surface of the lacquered metal sheet adds a surprising dimension.
