Design: Piet Hein for Sibast Furniture

Concept: In 1968, Piet Hein designed the Piet Hein bar stool, where he took his famous superellipse shape as a starting point. He has used that shape to design both the seat and the backrest of the bar stool. The bar stool is built around an elegant steel frame, which helps to give the design a lightness. The chair is not least beautifully designed, but at the same time provides a high level of sitting comfort. An impressive example of Piet Hein's unique way of combining form and function. With its high seating position and an elegant footrest, the Piet Hein bar stool is a comfortable and practical solution for any bar or high table.
