Explore the timeless lighting designs created by the renowned Hans-Agne Jakobsson, who with skilful use of pine veneer creates warm and graphic lighting experiences. Jakobsson's Vaarnii series is a tribute to his iconic designs from the 1960s and a continuation of his legacy.
In these designs, the pine tree is used effectively and stylishly. Vaarnii has reconstructed three of Jakobsson's pendant designs using solid Finnish pine. The unique features of these designs include circular strips of pine veneer and a new solid wood ceiling rose. They convey a feeling of massive material, but in fact they are light as a feather.
The beautiful Hans pendants from Vaarnii are now available in size XL. Here, the same beautiful concentric circles in veneer are used, as on the smaller models from the Hans series. With a more gently filtered light, a larger surface of pine wood and a more pronounced presence, the Hans XL the pendant brings a very special effect to indoor spaces with its bold size and extensive use of the finest Finnish veneer.
