Design: Verner Panton for Verpan

Concept: The Verner Panton Globe Lamp is a world-famous classic designed by Verner Panton in 1969, but it is absolutely no less relevant today. Inside, the lamp consists of a five-part sculptural reflector made of steel and with details in colored metal. Each original Verner Panton Globe pendant is numbered and comes with a certificate as proof of its authenticity.

Note The acrylic shade is fragile. To avoid greasy fingers and scratches in the acrylic shade, it is essential that the included gloves are used when assembling and hanging the lamp. See the attached instructions for use to ensure correct handling and assembly.

"You sit better on a colour that you like" – Verner Panton. The Danish designer Verner Panton(1926-1998) was a leading and significant part of the absolute heyday of Danish furniture design. Panton had close relations with both Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and Poul Henningsen, whose expression and design language, as is well known, are known and loved by people all over the world. Despite Verner Panton being part of the important mid-century of Danish furniture design, his expression and design philosophy were far from the simple one practiced by his Danish and Scandinavian colleagues. His expression was provocative, playful, futuristic but also full of personality. The passion for exploring the possibilities of unconventional material types and flashy colours was an essential part of the DNA of many of his sculptural works. Verner Panton's many iconic and playful expression are still extremely popular in Danish and foreign homes today.
