Bestlite

Bestlite is one of GUBI's most iconic lamp series and a timeless example of how functional design can continue to feel relevant. The series was designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best, who was inspired by the Bauhaus movement's clean lines, industrial expression and focus on practicality. The result was a lamp series with a simple, precise and elegant design language, where every detail has a function.

Bestlite earned its special place in design history when Winston Churchill used a BL1 table lamp on his desk during World War II. Since then, the series has developed into a true design classic, known for its flexible light, adjustable construction and characteristic balance between elegance and functionality.

At GUBI , Bestlite lives on with respect for the original design and is available today as table lamps, wall lamps, floor lamps and pendants. The series fits naturally into both classic and modern homes and is created for rooms where the lighting must be practical, atmospheric and visually strong.
